Annual Events
There are plenty of events going on throughout the year for our Children. They are great opportunities for the children to build relationships with each other, have some fun, and make a difference. Please take a look - the events are scheduled in such a way that there is little 'down' time of things to do. Take note of dates of events and make sure you don't miss anything!
Parents will find the appropriate forms in the left-side navigation menu. They include Medical Forms, Release Forms, and some special event sign-up forms. All volunteers traveling/chaperoning with the Children's Ministry Team have gone through a screening process, have a passion for God and kids, and many have children of their own. If you have any questions about a specific event, screen procedures, or general questions, please contact us.
Annual Events For the Children's Ministry
- Vacation Bible School (VBS)
For: Ages 4yrs old through 5th grade.
This is a week-long summer program where children experience God in a powerful way through music, games, art, drama, and science.

Church Summer Camp
Each summer the youth, and children, attend the Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp in Leesburg, Florida for one week (Monday-Saturday). They'll make friends, play crazy games, swim, and get wacky for Jesus Christ! The 50+ year old camp is an enlightening and unforgettable experience.
Important Info For Parents: Registration begins December 1st. The cost of camp is $370.00 and parents are responsible for half or $185.00. If your child is registered by January 13, 2010 the church will grant each child a 50% scholarship of $185.00. If this deadline is missed there will be a final deadline on January 27, 2010 and a 25% scholarship of $92.50 will be granted. Visit the camp website at www.warrenwilliscamp.org to register online.
Summer camp final deadline is January 27th
The final for summer camp registration has been set for January 27th. If your child is registered by this date a 25% scholarship will be given. The dates set for camp areJune 21st-26th. Once your child is registered a copy of that registration and payment must be given to either Shawna Cook or Brian Lawson. Trunk-Or-Treat
For: All children
Trunk-Or-Treat is a safer alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating. The Church campus is lined with awesome decorated trunks (cars and trucks) and the children travel through, trunk-to-trunk, and get candy. Additional activities include moon walks, games, food, and live music.
When: October 31st 6:00-8:00

Breakfast With Santa
For: All children and their families
This is a wonderful time for families to enjoy a home-cooked meal at a low cost ($5 per family). After breakfast, the children can visit with Santa Clause and share their wishes. It's a great chance for some good photos.

Rising 4th Graders Bible Presentation
For: Rising 4th graders
Each year in May, ever child that will be going into the 4th grade will be honored and presented with a Bible in both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services.

Promotion Sunday
For: Entire Children's Ministry Program
This is a special time we celebrate each year where all of the children, teachers, youth helpers, and volunteers are recognized. Children that will be moving to a different Sunday School classroom are also recognized and promoted.
