Volunteer with Children

We Need You!

There are so many ways to serve and so many ways to effect children's lives in a positive way!

We at FUMC of Plant City are always looking for people to step up and serve. BUT! Know that there are many different ways to serve! Anyone can help, and it doesn't require quitting your job or shelling out your paycheck to do so. Below you'll find a list of 'things' the Children's Ministry needs. If you don't see something here that you want to help with, do not think your gifts and talents will go unwanted. These are just our immediate needs in this ministry.

Volunteering could be becoming a core-teacher - someone who teaches on a regular basis; a chaperone to an event - maybe you can only help that one particular time; you don't even have to physically be present to help - even donating supplies or giving monetarily to the Children's Ministry is serving these kids. Know that you are needed and God will use you and your gifts for good.

We try to keep our Sunday School leaders on a rotating schedule - the more volunteers, the easier it is to help our teachers!

Note: All Volunteers will be required to complete a screening process. This typically takes 30 days.
You MUST fill out this application first.

Immediate Needs

Nursery:Need loving individuals to help care for children during services and Sunday school hour. (screening required)

Wednesday Night volunteers: We are growing all the time and it is so important to have the proper adult/child ratio of 1-5 for the purposes of safety and relationship building. If you would like help out on Wednesday night please contact Shawna Cook for further details.

Cleaners: We are in need of willing individuals to help clean the Wesley Centre on both 2nd and 3rd floors and the 1st floor nursery suite.  A detailed cleaning is required once a week.
